MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Spearheads Riverton Expansion with a Lease for a Record-Setting Location

January 13, 2026 // Franchising.com // RIVERTON, Utah – MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes (MOOYAH) is expanding its footprint in Utah with a new location opening in Riverton in early 2026. Set to debut in the Mountain View Village complex. The restaurant will become the largest MOOYAH and will be operated by twin brothers and experienced restaurant owners Art and Nick Depole, who continue to bring their business expertise and commitment to quality to communities across the region.

“Riverton was a natural next step for us in Salt Lake County. Our other two locations in Sandy and South Jordan regularly fill up on Friday and Saturday evenings, and we’ve seen firsthand how strong the demand is for more space and more access to our restaurants,” said Art. “This new location will be the largest MOOYAH restaurant to-date, designed to comfortably welcome the growing number of guests who choose us for their family dinners, celebrations and weekend outings. Riverton allows us to be in the center of a vibrant, rapidly expanding community, and we look forward to giving both longtime fans and new guests a spacious, welcoming restaurant that truly reflects what MOOYAH is all about.”

Art and Nick Depole bring a proven track record of business success and a shared dedication to quality that perfectly aligns with MOOYAH’s mission. After building and selling a multi-million-dollar company they founded in college, the brothers turned their entrepreneurial focus to the restaurant industry. Their first MOOYAH, which opened near New York City’s Times Square, faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, but their passion for the brand led them to Utah, where they revitalized and grew the concept. In 2022, they took over a struggling location in Provo and transformed it into one of the brand’s top performers, achieving the highest year-over-year sales increase. Building on that momentum, they opened a drive-thru restaurant in Sandy in late 2024 and expanded to South Jordan in early 2025. With the signed lease in Riverton now secured, the Depoles are preparing to open what will become the largest MOOYAH restaurant by square footage.

“Art and Nick are standout operators within the MOOYAH network, and their continued growth in Utah is a reflection of the strong guest loyalty they’ve built,” said Michael Meche, President of MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes. “Their new Riverton location represents the thoughtful expansion we’re focused on—growing in high-demand areas with franchise partners who deliver an exceptional experience. We’re proud to support the Depoles as they strengthen both the Utah market and the broader MOOYAH network.”

In addition to its fresh menu items made using high-quality ingredients, MOOYAH has mastered the art of burger customization. The brand’s high-quality ingredients, which include Certified Angus Beef® that is smashed, seared and seasoned to perfection, fresh-cut daily veggies, baked-in-house signature buns, hand-cut fries and real ice cream, serve as key differentiators that keep the burger brand’s guests coming back for more.
